Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some Frequently Asked Questions concerning our business, and auto detailing in general. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns that are not addressed here.

General FAQ’s

  • The duration of a car detail can vary based on several factors. Whether it's an interior or exterior detail, the size of the vehicle, and the level of dirtiness all play significant roles in determining the time required. While some details can be completed within a couple of hours, others may extend to a multi-day process, depending on the specific service requested. Due to these variables, we are unable to provide an accurate time estimate until we have assessed the vehicle or received detailed pictures. This allows us to better understand the scope of work and provide you with the most precise timeframe for completion as we strive to deliver the highest quality results tailored to your vehicle's needs.

  • We understand that unexpected events happen, but we ask for a minimum of 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your detail appointment. If service is canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice, a $25 cancellation/rescheduling fee will apply. Customers with multiple cancellations and/or reschedulings may also be subject to a $50 non-refundable deposit.

  • Vehicle detailing not only enhances your vehicle’s appearance but also helps to preserve its value. Exterior details remove paint contaminants, address flaws in your clearcoat, and protect against corrosion. Interior details help eliminate odors and bacteria, promote a healthier environment, and protective coatings guard against UV damage, keeping your vehicle looking new. Ultimately, regular detailing not only enhances your vehicle's visual appeal but also helps you protect your investment.

  • Our pricing structure is designed to be transparent and fair. Our minimum starting price covers our standard detailing services. For any additional work required due to excessively dirty vehicles, or other factors, we charge $50 per hour. This ensures that you only pay for the services you need, at a competitive rate. Please note that we try to ensure that any additional charges are included in your initial quote.tion

  • Our starting price for all of our detail services are listed on our website for each corresponding service page. Please note that all prices are a starting price and are susceptible to increases based on the amount of work required to reach our stringent level of quality control. Once we have assessed your vehicle, we will provide you with a quote. If we must exceed your quote, rest assured that we will not do so until we have spoken to you and received you permission to proceed.

  • There’s so much more that goes into detailing a car than just a bucket of soapy water and a sponge. Professional detailing involves utilizing high-quality materials, specialized equipment, and skilled labor to achieve the best possible finish for your car's paint. While our prices are higher than DIY alternatives, the value lies in the superior quality, expertise, and long-term benefits our services provide for your vehicle's appearance and preservation.

  • It’s impossible to keep your car completely clean all the time. However, something as simple as rinsing it off when it’s dirty will help keep it looking good. The longer you go between cleanings, the more dirt and grime builds up, which means it’ll be harder to clean next time. The same is true for your interior. Of course, if you don’t have time, or the motivation to do this, feel free to take advantage of our Monthly Detail Plan where we offer a monthly maintenance wash.

  • Springfield certainly has its fair share of drive-through car washes, and while automatic car washes can be convenient and fun to drive through, they often fall short in delivering a thorough clean for your vehicle. They usually leave behind dirt or grime in hard-to-reach areas, such as around the wheels or on the undercarriage. Additionally, the large rotating brushes used in these washes are notorious for causing damage to mirrors, antennas, wiper arms, and even the vehicle's paint.

Mobile and Full Detail FAQ’s

  • A mobile detail is a convenient service where we come to your location to clean and detail your vehicle, saving you time and hassle. It's a flexible solution that allows you to maintain your vehicle's cleanliness without needing to visit a physical location.

  • A full detail combines our Interior and Exterior Detail services into one comprehensive package. It includes everything offered with both individual services, providing you with a complete car detailing solution. Opting for a full detail not only ensures your vehicle receives thorough attention both inside and out but also saves you $25 compared to booking the services separately.

  • For our mobile detailing services, we require access to an outside water tap and an electrical outlet. The outlet should be capable of handling the electrical load of a vacuum cleaner and a pressure washer (please note that these are not used simultaneously). Additionally, we require ample space and a safe working environment. A shaded location is preferred, but not required. Should these conditions not be met upon our arrival, we reserve the right to reschedule the service for a later time and date, or require you to bring your vehicle to us if the conditions cannot be met. This will also be accompanied by a $25 rescheduling/cancellation fee.

Exterior FAQ’s

  • We typically don't include detailing the inside of a truck bed in our standard services. However, if you'd like us to include this in your detailing package, let us know, and we'll try to accommodate your request, as long as the bed is reasonably clear of belongings or debris.

  • There are a couple of reasons why we cannot guarantee 100% removal of scratches. Firstly, some scratches may penetrate through your car’s clearcoat into the paint layer, and in some cases, even down to the primer or metal. Once a scratch reaches this depth, it necessitates repair through repainting and/or re-clearcoating. Secondly, even if a scratch hasn't penetrated through the clear entirely, it may still be deep enough to require significant removal of clearcoat material to eliminate it, risking the thinning of your clearcoat in that area. This thinning could potentially lead to premature clearcoat failure in the future. While we always strive to minimize the appearance of scratches and achieve the best possible results, these factors contribute to the inability to guarantee complete scratch removal in all cases.

  • Just as a wood stain cannot be entirely removed without sanding, some stains in your car's interior fabric may be similarly ingrained and resistant to complete removal. While we consistently strive to significantly lessen or completely remove the appearance of stains, it's important to acknowledge that complete eradication cannot always be guaranteed due to various factors. Nevertheless, our commitment to delivering the highest quality service remains unwavering, and we will exert every effort to address these issues effectively and achieve the best possible results for your vehicle.

Professional detailing involves utilizing high-quality materials, specialized equipment, and skilled labor to achieve the best possible clean for your car’s interior. • Due to liability reasons, we do not remove seats that are bolted in or have electrical connections. We may remove snap-in seat cushions for convenience and access, as long as it can be done without risk of damage. Rest assured that our detailing process is designed to effectively clean dirt and debris within the vehicle, even without removing seats.

Interior FAQ’s

  • A One-Step Polish is a detailing process that aims to improve the appearance of a vehicle's paint by removing minor imperfections such as swirl marks, light scratches, and oxidation in a single polishing step.

  • Unfortunately, we do not offer a standalone One-Step Polish service. To perform a One-Step Polish correctly, the exterior of your vehicle must be clean, which requires an Exterior Detail first.

  • A One-Step Polish is ideal for addressing minor surface defects such as swirl marks, light scratches, water spots, and haze. However, it may not be suitable for deep scratches or severe paint damage.

  • While a One-Step Polish can significantly improve the appearance of your vehicle's paint by removing most minor imperfections, it may not completely eliminate deep scratches or severe paint damage. In such cases, a Multi-Step Paint Correction may be necessary.

  • A traditional multi-step paint correction involves multiple polishing stages with different abrasive compounds and pads to achieve a flawless finish. A One-Step Polish simplifies the process by combining polishing and finishing steps into a single stage, making it more efficient and cost-effective.

  • Yes, you can request a One-Step Polish as a mobile service. However, we ask that you limit your service to an Exterior Detail only, or make your vehicle available for more than one day if you wish to receive a Full Detail and other services. This is due to the added time required for polishing your vehicle.

One-Step FAQ’s

  • A Multi-Step Paint Correction is an advanced detailing process involving multiple polishing stages to achieve a near-flawless finish. It addresses specific imperfections with progressively finer polishes, enhancing clarity and gloss. Recommended for vehicles with moderate to severe paint imperfections or for enthusiasts seeking top-tier paint refinement.

  • Unfortunately, we do not offer a standalone Multi-Step Paint Correction service. To perform a Multi-Step Paint Correction correctly, the exterior of your vehicle must be clean, which requires an Exterior Detail first.

  • A One-Step Polish is ideal for addressing minor surface defects such as swirl marks, light scratches, water spots, and haze. However, it may not be suitable for deep scratches or severe paint damage.

  • While a multi-step paint correction will remove more imperfections than a One-Step Polish and can significantly improve the appearance of your car's paint, it may not completely remove all defects. Deep scratches or severe paint damage may require touch-up paint or refinishing. However, the meticulous process of multi-step correction can achieve remarkable results, leaving your car with a dramatically improved finish.

  • A Multi-Step Paint Correction utilizes multiple stages of polishing to target specific imperfections, offering a higher level of refinement and clarity compared to a One-Step Polish. This makes it preferable for vehicles with moderate to severe paint imperfections, or for those aiming for a high-end, show-car finish, as it enables more precise correction and delivers a superior result.

  • Unfortunately, we do not offer Multi-Step Paint Correction as a mobile service due to two main reasons: time and quality control. A Multi-Step Paint Correction can take all day, or even a couple of days to complete, which isn't feasible for a mobile detail. Additionally, achieving a controlled environment is crucial for optimal results, and it's easier to maintain such conditions at our location.

Engine Bay FAQ’s

  • We can detail your engine bay if you bring your vehicle to our location. However, we do not provide engine detailing as a standalone service for our mobile detailing service. It must be added to one of our detailing packages.

  • We begin by spraying down the engine bay with an all-purpose cleaner to effectively break down engine grime. Following a gentle scrub, we carefully rinse the engine bay before applying a dressing to enhance its appearance, leaving your engine compartment looking brand new. We take steps to ensure that important electronics and sensitive areas are protected throughout the entire process.

  • If your engine bay is covered in oil and grease, or has an active heavy oil leak, we, may not be able to service it. Our cleaning process focuses on accessible areas and may not effectively address deeply embedded grime collected under or within the engine bay.

Headlight FAQ’s

  • We can restore your headlights if you bring your vehicle to our location. However, we do not provide headlight restoration as a standalone service for our mobile detailing service. It must be added to one of our detailing packages.

  • You can tell if your headlights need restoration if they appear cloudy, yellowed, or hazy. Cloudy or discolored headlights not only detract from the appearance of your vehicle but also reduce visibility, especially at night or in poor weather conditions.

  • While headlight restoration can last for quite a while, it may need to be repeated every 1-3 years to maintain optimal results, depending on factors such as environmental conditions and driving habits.

  • We cannot guarantee 100% stain removal due to factors like stain type, duration, and material. Deeply embedded or set-in stains like dyes or chemicals, as well as delicate fabrics, can be very challenging, and may resist complete stain removal without damaging the fabric or surface.

  • We utilize a combination of safe and eco-friendly cleaning products, specially formulated to effectively target stains without causing damage to the vehicle's upholstery or surfaces. In addition, our process may involve light steaming and vacuum extraction techniques to further enhance stain removal.

Heavy Stain FAQ’s

  • That's a fair question. We charge for excess trash/junk removal primarily due to the additional time, effort, and cost required for its removal and disposal. Handling a large amount of trash/junk involves extra labor and resources, including transportation to the landfill. By charging for this service, we ensure that we can cover the costs associated with proper disposal and maintain the efficiency of our operations.

  • Our details include disposal of approximately 5 gallons of waste free of charge. If the amount of trash/junk exceeds this threshold or if its removal requires an excessive amount of time and effort, we may need to apply our Excessive Trash/Junk Removal fee to cover the additional resources and labor involved.

  • To avoid this charge, we recommend disposing of large amounts of trash and waste in your car before we begin your detail. Of course, if you are unable to, or just don’t want to dispose of it yourself, we have no problem doing it for you.

Excess Trash FAQ’s

  • We charge for excess animal hair removal primarily due to the additional time and effort required for its removal. Pet hair tends to become deeply interlocked within the fibers of your vehicle's upholstery, making it challenging to remove with standard cleaning methods. We use specialized tools and techniques to ensure thorough removal, which necessitates additional resources and labor.

  • If the interior carpet is covered primarily in hair, or if its removal requires our multiple passes before it will come clean, we may need to apply our Excessive Animal Hair Removal fee to cover the additional resources and labor involved.

  • In most cases, we can remove almost all of the animal hair from your vehicle's interior. However, there may be instances where we cannot access or fully see certain areas, leading to some fur remaining. Additionally, some vehicles have carpet material that can make it very challenging to completely remove all hairs.

Excess Hair FAQ’s

U/F/V FAQ’s

  • We charge for U/F/V removal primarily due to the additional time and effort required for its removal. Also cleaning biological contaminates comes with inherent health risks and can require specific protective equipment and specific cleaning and handling procedures, as well as proper disposal, all of which necessitates additional resources and labor.

  • First, we remove the mess from the vehicle taking care to not spread any airborne contamination from dried matter. Then we utilize a combination of safe and eco-friendly cleaning products, specially formulated to neutralize biological contamination without causing damage to the vehicle's upholstery or surfaces. In addition, our process may involve using steam to further clean and disinfect the area.

  • Due to liability reasons, we do not remove interior panels, carpets or seats to clean rodent droppings. We may remove snap-in seat cushions for convenience and access, as long as it can be done without risk of damage.
